Death-rates in Sweden during the Corona crisis
2020-11-19
The 2020 death-rate in Sweden during January-October is 8.3 percent higher than in 2019, 3.1 percent higher than in 2018 and 4.2 percent higher than in 2017.
These are not large numbers but unfortunate. The increase occurred in spring 2020, most likely because Swedish hospitals did not use all known therapies. They are using them now which may be reflected in the monthly figures for June to October.
