COVID-19 and general health
Those who followed a vegan diet lowered their body weight, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar, compared to the control group and increased their quality of life. Improvements in these health markers are associated with a reduced risk of severe and fatal Covid-19 infection. These improvements therefore help healthcare professionals during the pandemic to stay healthy and care for patients.
