Herbal medicine in China and India

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurvedic medicine are based on thousands of years of experience in China and India, respectively.
Because they are based on experience, they have never been tested according to Western scientific methods. Western doctors can therefore lose their license and thus their daily bread if they use them.
In China and India, however, they are widely used, which has also been reported in Western scientific articles.
CHINA: “Throughout the initial stages of the pandemic, practitioners in China used a unique medical guideline for disease management, which combined TCM and Western medicine together.1, 2 The government of China announced that 91.5% of COVID-19 cases were treated with a combined regimen of conventional medicine and TCM with promising results”

INDIA: “Based on the previous explanation, we conclude that these herbal medicines might have the capabilities to regulate the production and release of proinflammatory cytokines, interfere with the development of the virus in host cells, and modify certain molecular pathways related to the RAA system. Herbal agents might be useful as treatments to fight COVID-19..”

These are just excerpts from extensive information on TCM and Ayurveda, which the West does not take seriously. The lower mortality rate in China and India is of course not proof of the effectiveness of these methods, but it might at least show that the methods cannot have negative effects.

These are the official international figures that are accepted by WHO and the Swedish Medical Authorities. Somebody might think that the authorities in China and India do not provide accurate statistics. But what then about the authorities in Sweden and the US. No one so far seems to have debated the international statistics in a scientific way.
