The story of India is based on the fact that the population of India is very large, the spread of infection is large, and deaths are many. The story contains real facts but out of context. The total number of deaths in COVID-19 in India according to Johns Hopkins on May 14 is 19 per 100,000 and the death rate of infected is 1.1% while in Newsweek's home country the United States there are 178 deaths per 100,000 and the percentage of deaths out of the total number infected is 1.8%.
