What have we learnt during the past two years?

If you search for the word "COVID-19" on Google Scholar and limit the search to the period 2020-2021, you will find links to 212,000 scientific articles.

The articles are about new protocols for treatment, new drugs and their effect and adverse effects, new vaccines and their effects and adverse effects, the pros and cons of face masks, the results of lock-downs and quarantine and much more.

In addition to this, there are evaluations of the various measures that have been taken in different countries during the two years. 

Science has discovered a multitude of possible good measures. Yet, after two years, the measures proposed and taken in Europe and the US are the same as they were when the pandemic began with a single addition, vaccinating with emergency-approved vaccines.
