Why are not children more affected by the pandemic?

As with any virus, children are probably just as easily infected as adults are by the virus SARS-CoV-2. But they don’t fall ill as much, and they don’t often die. 

This is because illness and death in COVID-19 is not mainly instigated by the virus but by other diseases.
